Push-Pull

• A method of increasing the efficiency of an amplification stage by splitting the signal into 2 separate halves using a phase inverter. The first half or positive cycle is sent to one amplifier stage and the second half or negative cycle is sent to another amplifier stage. The two halves are then combined to reproduce the original signal.

• Usually, but not always used in ClassAB mode (VOX AC 30 is Class A Push-Pull circuit)
